The radialGradient was used for the eye.
The eye looks better with it, but Qt does not support it.

use different constructor to more reliably set the parent for menus and actions
...
This may make rendering menus more stable on hi-dpi monitors.
It worked before, but sometimes it had some weird glitches.

Fixes issue where the UI froze when removing the last char of a query while still a search was running. This caused the search thread to append to the newly truncated file, resulting in megabytes of null bytes at the beginning.
